WAIRARAPA CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.
Meeting of directors. The ordinary monthly meeting of Directors was held in the Dominion Hall on Saturday. Mr Alex. McLeod (President) occupied the chair. Correspondence was read— From the Secretary of the Athletic Union alul E.' W. Miller, re tne hitter's protest.— Decided to refer same to (the Protest Committee.
From the Registrar of Incorporated Societies, intimating that the rules and other preliminaries were in order, but that the application for incorporation would require to be made in duplicate.
It was decided to have this done. From Miss Cameron (Scotland), expressing heartfelt appreciation of the action of the Society in 'respect to the funeral arrangements of her brother, the late 'Mr Alex. Cameron. '.Hie Pipe Band Committee reported having, selected twenty-three applicants for enrolment in the Pipe Band, and having written to Mr W. C. Buchanan, M.r., informing him of the full position of affairs in respect to the Pioe Baud.
Messrs George Heron and Alex. Mutrie were elected honorary life directors in appreciation of their long and valued services as Directors of the Society. It was decided that nominations for all offices close wiitJi the secretary on Thursday, 27th April, at 5 p.m. Messrs R. Brown, J. B. Emmett, M. Foley, and John Hunter wero appointed scrutineers.
