THE IRISH DELEGATES.
TO VISIT MASTERTON. A meeting of those interested in securing a vi it from the Irish Honid Rule delegates was held in the Dominion Hail, Masterton,. on Saturday night. There was a representative attendance, and Mr O. C. Praguell was voted to the chair. Mr A. W. Hogg, M.P., was among those present. The Very Rev. Dean Mo Kenna explained l that the delegates would arrive at Wellington oil May, Ist, and would speak in the Empire City on May 3rd. On the motion of the chairman,, it was decided to invite the delegates to vi c it Masterton on VThursday, May 4th. Those present \ formed themselves into a committee to further the object of the visit. Mr 10. O. Pragnell was appointed, permanent chairman of the Committee, Mr M. C. O'Connell treasurer, and Mr J. ]J, Kelliher secretary. All executive
committee was appointed, ,consisting of Dean McKenna, Messrs J. Montgomery, J. C. Cooper and O'Sullivan, with the officers ex officio. It was decked to advertise that subscriptions' may be forwarded to the Treasurer at once, and to seek the co-operation of Eketahuna, Carterton, and otner townships in the Wairarapa. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the chairman.
