SHEEP-FAKING.

The end of the sheep-faking discussion is not yet in sight. A member of the Masterton A. and P. Association has given, notice to move at the next meeting of the Committee that the rule governing the awarding of prizes be reconsidered. The rule reads as follows: "The giving of a prize to a 'sheep shall imply that the judges are satisfied that each sheep is fairly shorn." Last year the words, "or

fairly trimmed," were added. Evidently, however, the Committee thought til at it was impossible to "fairly" trim a sheep, for in this gear's catalogue these words do not appear. The whole question will be opened up next month, and an interesting discussion is likely to ensue.
