MASTERTON WOOL CLASSES.

AN INSTRUCTOR APPOINTED. A special meeting of the Managers of the Masterton Technical School was held last evening, for the purpose of conferring with Mr Edward Lees with regard to the hitter's taking over the instructorship of the woolclassing classes. There.were present: Messrs W. H. Jackson (chairman), C. E. Daniell, J. 'M. Coradihe, E. Feist, and E. H. Waddington. The chairman explained the position and working of the classes. The outside classes would have to be selfsupporting. 'Probably about half a. dozen classes in different centres would be inaugurated.

Mr Loos stated that lie commenced in the wool business at the Roslyn Woollen Mills,' Uunodin, and since then ho had had experience in. many parts. Mr Leea added that he recogni&sd' the value of such classes, and consequently lie took a considerable interest in the matter. Ho submitted a most comprehensive scheme for teaching in the classes.

The secretary reported having had a reply from Bideford, where the settlers were prepared to guarantee at least 1. member?. Te Wharau settlers could form a class of from 16 to 20, and at Tinui there would be 20 scholars.

It was eventually resolved that Mr Lees bo appointed to the position of instructor to the wool-classing classes.

The detail arrangements in connection with the classes in the different centres were left in the hands of Messrs Coradine and Dauiell, who will draw up a time-table to suit Mr Loes. \ •

The chairman stated that the Managers were very well pleased with having secured the services of snch a competent instructor as Mr Lees. He only hoped that those for whose benefit: the classes were to he hold 'would seke the opportunity and give Mr Lees their whole-hearted support.
