TYPHOID FEVER.

THREE CASES FROM EKETAHUNA. During the past fortnight no fewer than three persons, suffering from typhoid fever, have been sent to the fever department at the Masterton Hospital. Strange to relate all three cases are from Eketahmu;. the last one having arrived from that township by the afternoon train yesterThis makes the fifth case of infeotious disease now under treatment at the Hospital, the other two being eases of diphtheria and scarlet fever. Inspector Cairns will leave Masterton this morning for Eketahuxia. to make an investigation of the nature of the outbreaks.
