INSULTS TO WHITE WOMEN.

POLICE COMPELLED TO CHARGE

LONDON, April 4. Alleged insults to white women have resulted in anti-Chinese riots at Birkenhead.

Three thousand people invaded the Chinese quarters and stoned and assaulted the Chinamen.

The police were compelled to make acharge, using their batons. The excitement continues.
