WEATHER PREVENTS DIVING.
(Keceivecl Last Night, 'S.Sb. o'clock.) BRISBANE, April 4. The sea is too rough to permit of diving in the vicinity of the Nares Rock for the steamer Yongala, which is Mipposeu to be wrscked.
ALLEGATIONS REGARDING LOADING.
FURTHER WRECKAGE DISCOVERED. RELIEF FUND STARTED. Received This Morning, 12.5 o'clock. MELBOURNE, April 4. The Merchant Service Guild has made allegations to the Minister of Customs regarding the mariner in which the Yongala's cargo was stowed. It is stated that some.hundreds of tons of pig-iron, which formed the ballast, had been removed. BRISBANE, April 4.
Mr Wareham, Queensland irana.* ger of ihe Adelaide Company, .states that when the Yongala was running between Sydney and Westralia, there was very little back cargo off-, ering, and 150 tons ofpigriron had been put in, hut, as the captain and engineer had reported that the vessel was better without it, it was taken out in June, 1907. . Further wreckage has been discovered at Lucinda Point, including gratings and varnished panels, similar to those of the Yongala. A pubho meeting formed a committee to rais-a subscriptions.
