TAIHO!
The Acting-Prime Minister has done nothing, so far, to imperil his reputation, or to compromise his party. He is holding the fort with conspicuous ability. His chief occupation is the unveiling of statues to departed aboriginal warriors, and he carefully retrains from addressing the mixed crowds at these functions in understandable English. So long as he continues on these lines, no harm will be done. But his colleague, the Minister for Works, is not quite so docile. He is. making things metaphorically "hum.". It is understood that already he has made tentative promises of works which will involve an expenditure of £10,000,000, And he has not yet half covered the country.
