Mr W. H. Jackson was elected chairman for the ensuing, year. On the motion of Mr Jackson, secnded by Mr Daniell, it was resolved to place on record an appreciation of the services of the retiring chairman, Mr E. Feist. - The Treasurer reported the balance at last meeting £ll9 12s Bd, receipts since £6-17s. ; 6d, expenditure £3 2s 6d, balance at date £123 Mr F. E. Lamb wrote resigning his position as drawing instructor. —-Ihe resignation vvas accepted with regret, eulogistic references being I made to Mr Lamb's services. 1 Mr Godfrey Henry Russell was appointed instructor to the plumbing classes. The matter of appointing an instructor for drawing was held over in order to, allow the chairman to make inquiries. A discussion took place with regard to the formation of a chemistry class, but it was pointed out by the chairman that to equip a room would be far beyond the Managers. A suggestion was made that endeavours might be made to obtain the us& of the laboratory at the District jßgfc School, and it' was eventually tfe&ded to hold the matter over, land the chairman was appointed to report at the next meeting. Accounts amounting' to £7 3s lid were submitted and passed for payment.
