AT THE TOWN HALL. m The Hugh Ward Company, which :is paying a farewell visit to the different centres of New Zealand, .produced the amusing comedy "Seven D'ays" to a crowded audience in the Masterton Town Hall last evening. The appreciation expressed in -frequent outbursts of applause were a compliment as much to the popular actors and actresses as a recognition of the merits of a farce which abounds in quaint and almost ludicrous situations. "Seven Day.'" has its origin in the isolation of quarantine, where New York society finds itself embarrassed by health regulations and internal discomforts of a peculiarly unwholesome eharaeh ter. The visit of a burglar to the j quarantined house, and the peculiar i|j"' methods he adopts to attain h 4 s ■criminal ends, are provocative of intense- merriment. The whole fabric of the piece is unadulterated comedy, and as, such alone it is to be . judged. Mr Hugh Ward plays an important part in the extravaganza, and plays it in his usual adroit "">; -and finished style.
