AMUSEMENTS.

"SEVEN DAYS."

TO-NIGHT,

At the Mastevton Town Hall tonight, Mr Hugh J. Ward and his company of comedians make a farewell visit to this town, when they present for the first time here a farcical comedy success entitled "Seven Days." The play came to Australia with a record 0f'402 nights in New York, the longest run every enjoyed by farce in America, and in Australia its reputation was further enhanced by most o-lowing accounts from both press and public. "Seven Days" represents the period for which the house of James ; Wilson is kept in rigid quarantine, upon the discovery that one of the servants is believed to nave contracted smallpox or something of that kind. The quarantine restrictions come at a most awkward time for Wilson, as lie-is-desperately anxious to conceal his domestic differences from Aunt Selina, who has arrived on a hurried visit at the moment the house was declared infected. The piece has been classed in America above such successes as "Charley's Aunt," and "The Private Secretary,", and while the element of fun is conspicuous in it, there is said to be also charming sentiment to enhance its value. Mr Huge Ward portrays a character which involves no disguise in his personal appearance — Jim Wilson, a bright and genial man of the wovkl. Miss Grace Palotta appears as Kit MeNair a part will suited to her talents. The cast includes the full strength of the company: Miss Celia Ghiloni as Aunt Selina, Miss Maud Chetwynd as Anne Brown, Mlss Ruby Baxter as Bella Knowles, Mr Aubrey Mallileau as Dallas Brown, Mr \ Reg. Wvkeham as Tom Harbison, Mr Robt. Grieg as Officer Flannigan. Mr Laurence Hardinge as Hobbs, and Mr H. H. Wallace asTubby McGirk.
