CROWD RUSHES A GRANDSTAND. TIMBER AND STONES FREELY USED. (Received Last Night 5.5 o'clock.) SYDNEY, March 26. A,disgraceful riot occurred on the Agricultural Socisty's grounds yesterday. An enormous crowd gathered to witness the buck-jumping contests. Failing to secure accommodation elsewhere, hundreds' attempted to rush the grandstand', which is "in course of erection.

Those in charge tried to stop • the rush, and a general light ensued, timber from the stand and . stones being used freely. Several persons were badly injured. A strong force of police was requisitioned and finally restored order. - -. " LATER. The buck-jumping exhibition drew a crowd' estimated at between 70,000 and 80,000 to the Agricultural Ground.
