Mrs Newell, wife of Anuy Newell, a prominent cricketer, who. . disappeared some time ago, has been awarded two hundred pounds damages against the Sun newspaper for publishing an article'" purporting to have been founded on a letter received by a friend from Newell, in which the latter stated that he went away for reasons of a domestic character.
Defendants were granted -a :s&y of proceedings.- _ y ~. : , . y (Newell;:: disappeared" over thr<?e years ago. He is said; to be in Valparaiso.)
