EKETAHUNA STOCK SALE,
Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Lid., re- j port having held their usual weekly sale at Eketalmna on Friday, 24th March. We offered a good yarding of both sheep and cattle to a fair attendance of buyers. Sheep of ■ good quality sold well, bui poorer sorts were neglected, although vendors in most cases lowered their reserves. We eventually made a clearance before the end of the day. We quote: Sheep: 2-tooth wethers, 9s lOd, 10b 3d, 10s 6d, to lis; 2-tooth ewes (poor), Bs, 8s 6d to 9s 5d (better sorts up to 12s sd; aged ewes, 4s 9d, 5s 4d, 6s 7d to 9s lOd; small cull lambs, 4s 6d, 4s 9d to 5s 2d. Cattle.—_ Fat and forward cows, £3 17s to £4 ss; 15-month steers, £3 4s; weaners (mixed), 21s to 28s 6d.
