THE "NATIONAL" LEAGUE.
This institution, which lias come into existence in Wellington' with a flourish of trumpets, has passed a resolution "That all the moderatethinking members of the community should combine to oppose the irrational views of those who desire to impose unreasonable restrictions on the people of/ the community." The League does not attempt to define the. "unreasonable that individual members of the community .are left to their own. resources. The Govern riient will doubtless come in for the largest share* of> opposition, for it imposes more "unreasonable restrictions" than the whole box and dice of us. The Railway Department cannot, of course, escape, and the banking institutions, well, it is reported that their restrictions at times- are regarded, by some people a.y unreasonable!
