BOWRON BROS,' FAILURE.
CHRISTCHUBCH, Last Night. The failure of Bowron, Bros., leather and sheepskin importers, of Bermondsey, England, reported by cable yesterday, will not afiFect ;in ' any way ' the Bowron Export Company here. A Press who made enquiries yesterday, ; was' informed that the firm mentioned acted up td within the last, six months or so as agents for. Bowron Bros, and Co., Ltd., of New Zealand, a , distinct body from the London Com- ; pany, and carried on by different members of the Bowron family. That was the only business relation between the two and \ that relation itself ceasedin respect of the. recently formed Bowron Bros. Export Company,when >ihat ; >' company took over ■ busi- : ' ness of Bowron Bros., and no trade connection existed betwee.n the new " ■; Export Company and the English ; company, either directly or ly. Bowron Bros., of New Zealand, will, however, be creditors for quite a considerable amount in the estate* of the English company.
