TERCENTENARY CELEBRATIONS

LONDON. March 21.

A deputation from various churches, headed by the Most Rev. Dr. Davidson, Archbishop of Canterbury, presented King Georgo with an address and a Bible on the occasion of the tercentenary of the Authorised Version of the Bible.

King Georgs, in replying, expressel his pleasure that the tercentenary was to be celebrated. The labours of the translators deserved lasting honours. For three centuries the multiplying millions of English-speaking people nail turned in need to the Authorised Version. He hoped his subjects would increase and cherish their noble inlieri-. tance.
