• The Trades and labour Council will present a petition to tne' Mayor to-morrow for a poll on the question of a weekly half-holiday with' a view to having Saturday adopted. Over ■seven hundred persons have signed the' petition, AvhieK is considerably in excess of the number required by law to ensure a poll.
