TRIANGULAR TEAMS' MATCH

The final of a series of triangular matches betweeh the Mauriceville, Alfredton and Tararua Rifle, Clubs for a silver cup donated by the Clubs concerned, was fired on the Alfredton range on Saturday last. The weather conditions were very favourable, a

steady nor'-west wind blowing across j the range-. The conditions of the.competition for the cup are three shoots, the club securing the highest aggregate being the winner; to be won three, times in succession and five times at intervals. Alfredton proved victorious by the narrow margin of 6 points. A feature of the shoot on Saturday was that Alfredton and Mauriceville, both scored the same number of points. The position at the close of the second shoot was: Tararua, 1379 points; Alfredton. 1372 points, and Mauriceville 1366. When shooting finished on Saturday last for the final the grand I totals were: Alfredton, 2108 ; Mauricej ville, 2102; and Tararua, 2079. Following are the scores: —
