SHOP CLOSING.

Sir,— I quite agree with "Fair Play's" letter, published in this morning's Age. For. instance, at half-past, eleven on Show day (People's Day) I went to make a small purchase at a certain shop where I have been dealing for the last eighteen months, and found it closed, not knowing that the shops were to ctb'ae-at eleven o'clock. I went d<jwn the street and found a shop open, where I made my small purchase, from one whom, I believe, is one of the Employers' As>*ociation. Well, Sir, do you think this was fair to the shopkeeper who closed his shop at eleven o'clock ? I think it is very unfair to the Holidays Committee, who, I believe, regulate the holidays for our shopkeepers.;— I am, etc.,
