■ -ibverar claims wages went by default in tHe Magistrate's Court against the Standard Oil Company having its headquarters, at Auckland, and which has been drilling oh the Carrington Road for some time past. A further step has now been taken, the bailiff having been put in possession of the Company 's derrick and plant, which will be sold. This company has no connection with the Taranaki Petroleum Company, which has struck oil, and which has excellent pects.'; '■■/■ •■' ~,.;,;•
