TERRIFIC CYCLONE
MANY BUILDINGS DESTROYED.
DAMAGE OVER £IO,OOO

BRISBANE, March 17
A terrific cyclone was experienced at Cairns, a seaport town 900 miles northwest of Brisbane.
The telegraph lines are down. Many buildings were destroyed, whilst the roofs and verandahs of others were bodily removed. The damage is estimated at over £IO,OOO.
