IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS.
THE FISCAL QUESTION

LONDON. March 16
The Congress of Chambers of Commerce has urged, the Government to favourably consider the question of discussing reciprocal proposals at the Imperial Conference. It has also unanimously recommended the appointment of a Royal Commission to inquire into the whole fiscal question as it affects the Empire. The Congress further recommended the establishment of an Imperial Council of Commerce, and announced that a conference of Chambers of the Empire would-be held in London in 1912.
