JAPAN'S TOLERANCE
EXPLOSIVE ELEMENTS IN THE PACIFIC.
EMPIRE MUST BE PREPARED.
(Received Last Night, 10.10 o'clock.)
LONDON, March 15.
The Morning Post states that Great Britain is dependent upon Japan's tolerance so far as the Pacific is concerned. The Anti-Japanese emigration policy of Australia, New Zealand and Canada creates an antagonism which is quiescent owing to the AngloJapanese alliance. The position is, according to the Post, full of explosive elements. The Empire must be prepared to maintain a one-power naval standard in the Pacific. The evidence that Australia and New Zealand, are willing to assist is apparent.
