MELBOURNE. March 15.
A strike has occurred in the artificial manure trade, an 3 700 men are out of-work. Three firms, viz... Messrs Counting, Smith, and Co., Wisher and Co., and the Mount Lyell Co. are affected. The men demand a shilling an hour. The present.wages are.from.six to seven shillings a day."
