DROWNING FATALITY.

NAPIER, Last Night.

At an inquest held to-day on the body of a man named* Thomas McGrath, who was found in the Esk River, Petane, on Monday, (the evidence'showed that the deceased was without money, and had been sent ,to work by the District Engineer. .< Deceased was .sixty years of aga, and a hard working'man. The river was not fordable oh the morning tion, and it is 'thought "that McGrath "was aocidie-iifally. drowned whilst iattempting to cross it. The Coroner returned a verdict to that effect.
