KAIPARORO.
Owing to the beautiful weather experienced 1 throughout the week, dipping operations are now well forward, and given another few days of fine weather, this work on most of the farms will be completed. An exceptionally beautiful patch of bush on Mr Miller's property on the Mount Bruce Road is, I understand, about to pass into the hands of the sawmillers. The timber in it is, of course, valuable, but all in the district who are lovers of beauty will greatly regret its destruction, especially as it contains a very good variety of native plants, and is in a position where its preservation would be rendered a comparatively easy task. Several varieties of orchid are to be found, in the -bush here, and at present they are blooming to perfection. The monthly, meeting of the School Committee was held on Monday night, when the usual routine business was transacted.
