The top weight, Tyrannic, list 111b, would only need ito be in racing condition to account for the opposition, and in which Boyn© Water and' Merrie Valet may run prominently. The Waipipi Clip should bring out a good field. Merrivonia may not start, and Sandstream is another improbable. Te Puia Bsit 71b, The Rover 7st, and Merose 6st 101b read very wall, and will have plenty of support cm the day. Gf the Dash Hack entraoiits recenlt form is best represented by Zealand, Soultiform, Tullcch Ard and Beacon. Other 'brilliant ones in this race are Vibration, Longstep, M&kara and Deploy, and this sprint event may furnish a brilliant finish. There are no less than nin recent winners engaged in the Opaki Welter, and the race, liais a very , open appearance. Taken altogether the handicaps have been very carefully compiled by Mr -Poflloek, and the dub should be favoured by numerous acceptances.
