FORGING THE POSITION.

THE PRIME MINISTER'S

PROMISE

(Received Last Night, 9.55 o'clock.)

LONDON/March 8

A meeting of Welsh members of the House of Commons resolved that the passing of the Welsh Disestablishment and Disendowment Bill in 1912 is an essential condition to Welsh members continuing to support the Government. Mr Asquith, Prime Minister, afterwards promised a deputation that if the Parliament Bill Avas carried the Government would give Welsh Disestablishment such a position in 1912 as to enable it to override the Lords' veto in the present Parliament.
