Referring to the telegram from Mr Wright,' M.P., denying that the temperance party in Wellington'had any knowledge of Sir Joseph Ward's alleged offer to make the 55 per cent, majority a vital issue, Mr L. M. Isitt explains that he did not state that the, Prime Minister offered to stake the existence of the Government on' the 55 per cent.
