REINSTATEMENT OF RAILWAY STRIKERS
A POLICY OF PACIFICATION

PARIS, March 6. A Ministerial statement which has been published [joints out that .the majority of the strikers have been reinstated, excepting those who were convicted of sabotage and those who are persisting in their insubordinate anarchial attitude. The Government will ask the railway companies to follow the State's example in the interests of social pacification. The statement foreshadows' the enforcement and reform of the secularisation laws. The Government desires the, Pacific policy to be a broad one, based on the existing agreements of security offered by the army's ever increasing strength.
