WELLINGTON FARMERS' BACON COMPANY.
A SPLENDID PUBLIC RESPONSE
Owing to the fact tnat Mr J. C. Cooper, managing director of the Wellington Farmers' Meat Company, was unable to attend the meeting of farmers hold at Pahiatua last week. Mr Corrigan. who materially assisted Mr Cooper in the formation of the' Meat Company, met the settli-.rs on his behalf. The' result of the meeting was most encouraging. As the result of a few days' canvass, the capital of the Company now stands at £2OOO, the settlers supporting the project most enthusiastically. A sum of only £SOO is now required, and it is thought that this could easily be placed in the same district, Tt has been thought advisable, however, to place as many of the remaining shares as possible in the, South Wairarapa
