WELLINGTON WOOL SALES. Messrs Abraham and Williaifis, Ltd., report on their sale as follows: The fifth and last sale of the series was held to-day, when catalogues comprising 2,500 bales 'were offered, to a good attendance of buyers. Our offering comprised 374 bales of mostly heavy late wools. The competition was keen for all sorts, an all-round imnrovement to the extent of -Jd per lb being quoted for fleece wool, whilst pieces and bellies were about on a par. Lambs' wool also sold a shade higher than last quotations. Our top price was lid for some very light conditioned Romney. Some of our sales were as follows: OH fine Romney, lid; WN over 0, fine crossbred, IOAd ; merino, IOJd ; CO half-bred. lOd, 7 oyer; fine crossbred, 9sd; Waiata medium crossbred, 83: to 9i; JM over MAKO lambs, 9d; JBG lambs, 9\d; PH medium crossbred, B£d.

TJio New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, report as follows on their weekly sale, held on Friday : We submitted a good entry, of both sheep and cattle. Owing to re-cent-rains a much' better tone prevai'ed, especially for good, sound ewes and wethers, and cattle also'met with * good demand. We .quote—Sheep: Wethers, Us 6d to 12s; 2-th ewes, Us Gd to 12s 6d; s.m. ew»s, IDs 6rl, lis, tolls 4d; cull ewes. 6s Gd. to 8s 6d; shorn lambs. 5s to 5s 6d; cull lambs. 4s Gd to 5s Gd; 3-yr steers, £5 Gs and =£s 2s Gd; store cows, £2 10s, £3 10s, to £4; weaner calves, 30s to £1 Gd. MAKURI STOCK SALE. .Messrs Abraham and Williams, Limited, report having held a most successful sale at Makuri on March 3rd, in yards lent by Mr John McCarthy. They offered a heavy yarding of sheen, comprising the annual drafts of clients,/the quality, of which was highclass throughout. There was spirited competition in nearly every line, Mr H. Coom's 3 and 4 vear-old ewes securing the birthest figure at 14s lid. Quotations —Three and fotir-vear-old ewes. 12s 3d, 13s 6d to 14s lid; 4 and 5-yoav ewos, 9s sd. 12s to 12s Gd; 2 and 4-tootb ewes. 12s 3d to 13d : 2 and 4-tooth wethers. Us 8d; small 2-tooth ewes. 9s 3d: full-mouth ewes. 4s 7d; cull lambs. 2s; full-mouth Romney rams, £1 Is.
