' TEACHERS' CLASSES. the recommendation', of the Inspectors, the Wellington Education ' Board on Tuesday decided to establish the following classes for teachers, and probationers' at the Master- j ton District High School: — Drawing and Handwork.— Pupilteachers and probationers Saturday, j 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. Mr Grant instructor. ! Singing.— That Mr Parker continue his singing class at Masterton. j during the'latter part of the year. It was also l-ecommended that a class be established for the purpose of training teachers in practical work two hours each to be given; tlm*--Mr Stuckey, M.A., be appointed i:i'structor at a remuneration of £25, to be paid from , the department's grant for the ■ instruction of teach.-, ers. It was further tihat a class be established for' the purpose of training teachers in prac- | tical work in physiologj' or another branch of domestic science; 30 lessons of at least itwo hours each to be given; that the remuneration for the instructor be £25, to be paid out of the department's' grant. The instructor is to, be appointed later. "We also recommend," added the report, "that the school of in : j struction ia agriculture postponed', from January, 1911, be held at Grey town from 29th May Vto 9tih : June inclusive." ~ • '■'
