PROCEEDINGS NOT TO BE DISCLOSED.
(Received Last Night, 10.10 o'clock) LONDON, February 28. In .the House of Commons, the Hon. H. H. Asquith informed the Hon. Harry Law-son that if all the members of the Veto Conference concurred in tthe decision that there should .be no public disclosure of the proceedings, he would be neither empowered nor disposed to go back upon the decision. The Times, commenting, declares that the Unionist leaders concurred in the decision at the express wish of the Liberal leaders, and' against' their own desire. The Liberal leader, opposing the request for an official statement, argued that if silence was observed regarding the proceedings of the Conferences,, method could be kept alive for future use if a resort thereto was desired.
