And it , may here oe mentioned that, a<li tinough tlhe contents, of the requisition may have- been compromising 'to the Liberal Party, 'there are not ;a few staunch Government supporters in- the Masterton electorate who ■ would support. the candidature of Mr Cooper, notwithstanding that ;he cannot- reconcile his views entirely with ; the "undefined policy of the Government."
