PRESENTATION OF MEDALS.

LONDON, February 23,
At Buckingham Palace, King George personally presented numerous medals awarded for bravery, his Majesty congratulated Mrs Wright, who assisted Constable Haytread-when he was trying to arrest a burglar. The King then walked to a stretcher on which Sergeant Woodhams, one of the police officers shot by burglars at Houndsditch, had been brought to the palace. Bending over the stretcher His Majesty shook hands with the sergeant and inquired as to his progress, at the same time warmly commending his valour.
