A FURIOUS SCENE.

IN UNITED STATES LEGISLATURE. Received This Morning 12.15 o'clock. NEW YORK, February 24. A furious scene occurred in the House of Representatives during the debate on the Alaska Coal Lands Bill. r Mr Mondell, of Wyoming, called Mr Wickersham, of Alaska, a "liar." Mr Wickersham tried to knock Mondell down. Members interferred. A struggle lasting several minutes occurred. The Sergeant-at-Arms was requisitioned to restore order. The members afterwards apologised to the House.
