THOMPSON-pAYNE PICTURES.

A .large audience, greeted the change of pictures at the Foresters' Hall last evening. The series comiprised dramas, scenics, comics, comedies, and ' educational pictures, the variety, and high standard of : the films meeting with ,the approbation of those present. The scenic subjects were particularly good. In "MarvellousMelbcmrne" the "audience were taken through all the principal thoroughfares of the great . city, shown the, magnificent buildings, beautiful parks and the various other places of interest. A train .ride from Viege to Zermatt brought the beautiful Alpine scenery of Switzerland clearly before patrons. "Canoeing in Canada" was also a pretty picture depicting the daring methods of Canadians on. itheir dangerous rivers. The dramatic series —"The Sepoy's Wife,' 5 "Simple Charity," "Tempest and Sunshine," and. "Baby Breadwinners"— were a capital selection'of .excellent subjects. Of some splendid comics, "Little Willie and the Tramp" and "Foolshead's Precautions" were the pick. The T,-.L\ orchestra played pretty and apropriate music. The programme will be repeated tonight.
