SUPREME COURT.

NAPIER, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day, before the Chief Justice, Alexander Strachan was charged with the attempted murder of and doing grievous bodily harm to Herbert Sidney Bradley. He was found guilty on the lesser charge and recommended to mercy; Sentence was deferred till Saturday. John Morrison, who had a number of previous convictions for theft, was found guilty of theft from an hotel, and with beine found on the premises at midnight with intent to committ theft. 'He was remanded for sentence till Saturday.
