HARBOUR BOARD CHAIRMAN.
WELLINGTON, Last Night,
At a meeting of tfie Harbour Board 1 to-night, it was decided that, in. ; accordance with -the powers conferred by section 23 of the Harbour Amendment Act, the chairman be granted an allowance' of £2OO per annum from January Ist, ''l9ll. The •chairman (Mr R. Fletcher) expressed his thankß, but said he had not yet made up his mind whether he would accept payment.;. His inclination was to leave it alone.
