A PRIVATE RAILWAY.
TENDER ACCEPTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. At a meeting of directors of the Waipa Railway and Colleries, Ltd., to-day, tenders for the construction of bridges and railway from Ngaruwahia to the mine at Te Akatea were opened. Messrs Donald McLean and Co., the well-known Wellington contractors, were the lowest tenderers, and, their tender was "accepted. It is expected that the work wil? take eighteen months to complete.
