Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report: —The combined auctione'en , under the auspices of the Masterton 5 Pastoral and Agricultural Associa- - tioix held their annual Ram Fair on ' the new Solway grounds yesterday. ? The appointments for the working of r the Fair were most complete, and l j the new ring and yards made it pos- -, sible to work the large entry with ! the utmost despatch., Breeders who > have attended our Fair for many : years past were loud in the praise of the up-to-date method that has been adopted for the yarding and .selling of the rams that come forward. A large and representative gathering of buyers attended from all parts of the North Island, and quite a ■ number were also present from the '< South. The different breeds"of rams set down for offering on the first day were Southdowns, Romneys, and Shropshires.
