PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT at a Special j Meeting of the Masterton Borough > Council held on Tuesday, the 14th j day of February inst. IT was res j'.vod ' as follows:—■ i 1. THAT the Masterton Borough I Council m pursuance and exorcise of j the powers vested in it by J he l Muni- i cipal Corporations Act, IUUB, 'liie ! Local Bodies Loans Act, <Li)US, Ilia I Slaughtering and Inspection Act, | 1908, and The Rating Act, 1908, and i in pursuance of all other Acts and powers (if any) enabling it in that behalf, hereby resolves by special order to borrow by way of spe •■■dl loan the sum of Four Thousand .Pounds for the purpose of paying off the following special loan heretofore lawfully raised by the said Borough, namely:— Special loan* of £4OOO authorised to be raised for the purpose of establishing an abattoir for the purposes of the Borough of Masterton and secured by \ special rate made and levied on the 15th day of May, 1905. THAT the loan bo called The Abattoir Loan, 1910. THAT the currency of the said Special Loan shall be for a period of thirty-five years commencing on the thirtieth day of May, 1910, and maturing on the thirtieth dav of May, 1945. THAT the interest on the "said special loan be at the rate of £4 10s per centum per annum, and be payable half-yearly on each thirtieth day of May and thirtieth day of November. THAT the form of security for the payment of the principal and interest of the said special loan be debentures (and relative coupons) in a. form in conformity with the provisions of The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments each for the sum of £SOO. THAT a sinking fund of an. , annual sum of £2O be and the same is hereby established in connection with the said loan, such annual sjw to be paid by equal half-yearly payments on the thirtieth day. of June and the thirty-first day of December in every year. THAT the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said special loan and 'the interest, sinking fun I and other charges thereon a special rate of one-tenth of a penny in the pound to be made and levied by the Council by Special Order upon the unimproved rateable value _ of all rateable property of and within the administrative area of the Borough of Masterton. THAT the principal and interest and sinking fund shall be payable at ;the Post Office at Masterton to the credit of the Public Trustee or at the Bank of New Zealand, Wellington, at the option of the Public Trustee. 2. THAT the Masterton Borough Council in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by .the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908, The Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1908, and the Rating • Act, 1908, and in pursuance of all'other Acts and powers (if any) enabling it in that behalf, • hereby resolves by special order:— THAT for; the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund and other charges on the special loan of £4OOO called The Abattoir Loan, . 1910, authorised to. be raised under the above mentioned Acts for the purpose of paying off a specialloan of £4OOO heretofore lawfully raised, .The Masterton Borough Council here-. by makes and levies a special rate of one tenth of a penny in I the pound -'upon;, the unimproved rate- • able value of ; a!l rateable property of and within , the administrative area .of the Borough of Masterton',; and . .that suclr special : rate .shall W an annually; recurring rate 1 drnjing^th^ . currency';; of, such -loan 1 and be pay-" able 'half yearly on the thirtieth day' of June- and the thirty-first-day of December in each and every'. year. during the currency of such loan, being a .period of thirty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off. ' 3.THAT.the Masterton Borough Council doth hereby under its Common Seal authorise the raising of a special loan of Three Thousand One Hundred and Fifty-five pounds (£3155) for tire purpose of providing a moiety of the estimated cost of constructing TWO BRIDGEvS over the WAIPOUA RIVER at the northern' entrance to tho Town of Mastertonj together with 26.chains of approaches thereto. 4. THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodieß Loans Act, 1908, and of all other Acts and powers (if any) enabling it in that behalf, the Masterton Borough Council do hereby under its - Common Seal RESOLVE "that for the purpose of providing - the interest and other, charges; upon; a loan .of Three Thousand One; Hundred and - . Fifty-five pouitds (£3155) authorised to be raised by the-Council of the said Borough, under the -of the/ above-mentioned Acts,., civ, ■otherwise as! aforesaid, a moiety of the - estimated cost; of constructing TWO BRIDGES - over the Waipoua River at the northern entrance to the Town of Masterton , together with 26 ; chains of APPROACHES thereto, the said Council hereby makes and levies a. special rate of 0.09 pence in the pound* sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Masterton Borough,' and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the- currency of such loan and, be payable half yearly , on the thirtieth day of June and the thirty-first, day of. December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of .thirty-six and a half vears, or until the loan is fully paid" off. The rate of interest to be Three Pounds Ten Shillings - (£3; 10s) per centum per annum. - 5. THAT the Masterton Borough; Council-doth hereby under its Common Seal authorise the raising of a special .loan of One Thousand. Six Hundred and Nine ; Pounds sterling (£1609) for -the purpose of relaying defective, public sewers in Cole Street and Lincoln Road highways within the said Borough in accordance with plans, 'Sections,. specification and estimates approved of by" the MINISTER OF HEALTH bv an instrument under his hand bearing date the "30th day of November, 1910. 6. THAT in pursuance amd exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908, The-Public Health Act, 1908, and of all other Acts and powers (if any) enabling it in that behalf, the Masterton Borough Council do hereby under its Common Seal RESOLVE that for tho purpose of providing the interest -and other 1 charges upon a loan of One Thous-' and Six Hundred and Nine Pounds .sterling (£1609) authorised . to be raised by the Council of the said ■Borough under the provisions of. the above-mentioned Acts, or otherwise | as aforesaid for relaying defective public sewers in Cole Street and Lincoln Road highways within the said Borough in accordance with plans, sections, specifications, and ; /ostiraates approved of by the MINISTER OF HEALTH by ail instrument under, his hand heaving date the 30th dftv of November. 1010, the i
