WEDDING.
RILEY—STEMPA. A very pretty wedding was celebrated in St. Patrick's Church, Mastertou, yesterday morning, when MiEdward Riley, of the local railway staff, was united to Miss Lily Steriipa, fourth daughter of Mr A, Stempa, an old settler of this district. The ceremony was performed by the Very Rev. Dean McKenna in the presence of "a large gathering or friends. The "bride, who was given away,by her father, looked charming in a dress of white all-over embroidery, with the orthodox wreath and orange blossoms. She also carried a white prayer-book. The bride was attended by her two sisters, the Misses Martha and-Polly Stempa, as bridesmaids. These wore white embroidered dresses and black hats, and carried bouquets of crimson cactus dahlias, with maiden-hair ferns. They also wore gold bangles, the gift of the. bridegroom. Mr A. Stempa acted as groomsman. The mother of the bride wore a black silk dress. After the ceremony a number of guests partook of wedding breakfast at the residence of the bride's parents on the Upper Plain. The honeymoon is to be spent in Napier.
