LAND FOR SETTLEMENT.
LN THE MASTERTON DISTRICT.' VISIT OF THE LAND BOARD. .•; The Commissioner of Crown- Lands.. audmeMbers/of, the Wellington Land •Board,, arrived in Masterton on Monday night. They left yesterday : to inspect the..small 'grazing .runs:.!in the. district• (the "leases* of : - which: wjll:shortly expire), to see if they are suitable for sub-division. The first place to be visited was Tanglewood, near Bideford, afterwards Mr Lang's, and then Mr J. F. Heckler's and Mr Dagg's, in 'the Mount Bruce district. The members of the Board will thence proceed to Pongaroa and other parts of the Forty-Mile Bush on a general tour of inspection.
