AN ADMIRABLE SUGGESTION.
In a letter published in our correspondence columns this morning, Mr Orlando Pragneli suggests that the citizens of Masterton should, . : n some way, express tlieir appreciation, of the services of the A. and P. Association Committee, and .of the Solway Syndicate in particular, in providing such a splendid endowment for the town as the "Solway Park." The suggestion has so much to recommend it, that it negd hardly " be 1 commended to the public. The form that the recognition sliould take is for the townspeople themselves to decide. If His Worship the Mayor (Mr J. M, Coradirie) were to call a public meeting, there is little doubt that it would be largely. attended/ and that some scheme would be evolved which . would enable the town to place ,on permanent record its'a-p- ---. preciation of tlie splendid magnanimity and public-spiritedness // of those who were responsible for the "t>olwav Park.''
