EKETAHUNA COAL SEAMS.
FURTHER INVESTIGATION. During the next few weeks Mr Fry, mining expert, who has been specially engaged by the Hawke's Bay syndicate holding horing rights over a considerable area in the Eketahuna County, will (says the Express) make a thorough investigation as to whether the known coal seams are worth further attention. Should the report prove favourable, it is understood the syndicate intends procuring new . and up-to-dato boring appliances, with the object of ascertaining, -definitely if coal exists in payable quantities.
