SUSPICIONS OF FOUL PLAY.

CHRISTCHUR€H, Last Night. This afternoon-it ;vas.reported that there were suspicions of foul play in connection with the death of a woman found in a right-of-way in the city. The police are reticent, "but it; is ; miderstood that the woman's face was livid and her clothes disarranged. The body appeared to have been dragged for a short distance by the feet. LATER. It is understood that the post mortem will reveal that- poison was administered to the woman, and was taken hy her.- , The .contents of the stomach are to'be analysed. '"'.. -'-"./ v i -]l .'■-'■•.'
