THE PIG INDUSTRY.
Mr Dunlop, one' of the Scottish Commissioners, speaking at a smoke concert after the Feilding Sho\v, said : In New Zealand they were neglecting the pig, and they were standing in their own-light by doing so. The price of pork was increasing in the Old Country, and there they were, now importing pork from China. There was no reason why New Zealand should not export millions of pounds' worth of pork to Britain. Here the climate and the pastures were extremely favourable for pigraising—very much more so than in America.
